The One Where I'm All Abot Star Wars

The office seems pretty much quite.. there are only 4 people here including me (the students are on their semester break).. everybody was busy doing their shares to update the course portfolio’s.  I just finished up mine so I’ll just take a rest for a while...  Need to finish up all the task before I leave.. leave this company forever...

Life is going good...  everything seems to be fall into place.. weird though.. but I guess it’s the way life is...  I thank Allah for all the blessings that He gave to me and my family...

Been in an awkward situation with my boss lately... seems like he reluctant to let me leave the company although I’ve already send in my resignation letter...  I’m doing my part and I do think he should too...  I want to leave this company with grace.. without damaging my dignity.  In this company is where I started to be independence.. I start to have my own money.  Of course I’m so sad to leave.. things begins to crumble here and I don’t really like the situation here anymore.. I would miss my friends the most..  they are the ones who keep me sane all this while.. hiihhiih.. ahh I will absolutely miss my friends here... ohh shucks...

Ok.. ok enough ohh weepy moments for a while... 

I had a great night last Friday... went to The Star Wars Midnight Fiesta at One Utama with CINTA.  The event was cool.. the first one for me (never got a chance to go before)..  everybody brought their light sabers... the atmosphere was colourful... little kids was dressed up as little Anakin Skywalker...   There’s a lot of press around and one of their sponsors was Channel V.  I thought I saw “Wayang Kita” interviewing people...

I have the utmost respects for the fanatical fans who are all dressed up as their fav characters in Star Wars.. one group came as AT-AT (shit!.. I forgot to take their pictures...) it was probably the best effort I’ve ever seen.  Really cool... and there’s a lot of Darth Vader wannabees... hiihhi.. hillarious... a lot of versions also... there’s Darth Military, Modern Vader and Kiddy Vader.. hiihhihi...   But no one came as Yoda or Jar Jar Binks... :p

some fans shows off their fighting and twirling skills... but hell the lack of promotions make it such a dull event..  the setting was all wrong and a lot of people are frustrated...  I thought it would be a ONE BIG event where fans gather and they would put up somthing special.. hmmmm it was a bit let down... that night was mainly about SELLING THE LATEST MERCHANDISE...  can’t blame the toy company though...

Then this fan came in as the real version of Darth Vader and people are getting all excited...  the circuit board on his chest lights up and it was fantastic...  the cape was flowy.. he looks real... he was name the best dressed person there.. well he deserves it anyway... CINTA disagrees as he says that he prefers the group that came in as AT-AT wins...  even though they are not fancy as Vader but hey... they put a lot of work to it... (I still regret that I don’t have their pictures..)..  but Vader still on top of  the charts..

The shop was tiny and people are cramming into the shop like there’s no tomorrow..  CINTA says it’s a pointless activity...  so we didn’t cram in with the crowds..  the ones who brings their light sabers can get their hands on free posters... hell we didn’t have any but still we got to grab hold of it.. hihihiih... we was ultra cheeky that night.  Those kids who came in their costumes got themselves an R2D2 limited edition cookie jar...  I want one of those...  I really do as “Ar-too” has been my fav character all along... damn... There was also an auction held for 3 limited edition stuff..  The prices went up until I think it’s at peek where it will “cekik darah orang”.. it means that it’s too damn high!... bummer!!!!!  There was screening of fan-made star wars epic and it was good although I do prefer if they do it at a larger event.... sheshh...  I can’t even see the movie cause the crowd was standing up.. crap!.. thank god it’s a free event...

Overall, I did enjoy the event plus being with my man.. nuthing gets better than that.  Can’t wait for 19 May...
